Birch & Arrow Therapy is a self-pay practice, meaning payment is made directly at the time of each session rather than through insurance. Choosing self-pay protects your privacy and allows our work to remain focused on your relationship and not on insurance requirements or diagnostic labels.

Most insurance companies do not cover couples therapy, as they view it as a relationship service rather than a medical treatment for one identified patient. For that reason, many couples choose to invest privately in this work.

If you have out-of-network benefits, I can provide a superbill you may submit to your insurance for potential partial reimbursement.

If you have out-of-network benefits, your insurance plan may reimburse you for a portion of session costs. After each session, I can provide a superbill—a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Coverage varies by plan, so it’s best to check with your insurance provider about your specific out-of-network rates and requirements.

If you are unable to attend a scheduled session, please give 24 hours notice.

The late cancellation/no show policy is as follows:

• First late cancellation: No charge

• Subsequent late cancellations/any and all no-shows: Full Session Rate

If you are running late, please shoot me an email. I will check the waiting area 3 times, every 5 minutes. If you are more than 15 minutes late to a session, it will be cancelled/rescheduled. If you come to your session under the influence, therapist may end the session early, and you will be liable for the full payment of the session. If you cancel the same day as session, you will be charged full rate.
